Orson Welles once described the work of an artist as an endless effort to "know thyself" as explored by Plato. If that is true, Yggdrasil can be described as me expressed through art over the years. One continuous string of works that have evolved and contorted to reflect my efforts in self discovery.

In recent years it has begun to manifest in some particularly connected forms. In my five canto work Testament. In the two years of Yggdrasil MGZ. And now, in a new work that I am calling the Mystery Box.

What's in the Mystery Box?

We are going to find out together.

"Only create something if you aren’t sure if it is a good idea."

That is Rule 4 from my 10 Rules essay. The Mystery Box work encapsulates this. I have no idea if this is a good idea. I have no idea what is going to go in the box. I only know that there will be a box covered in art and filled with art. The art will be tied up in what I have been exploring for years.
